Madonna University 77th Commencement: College of Nursing and Health

Madonna University is excited to welcome our guests to the 77th Commencement Ceremony! Madonna University will follow all state and local health department guidelines in place at the time of the event to ensure the safety of our graduates, faculty and staff, and guests. Commencement is a ticketed event. No entry will be permitted without a ticket. All people are required to have a ticket, including babies and children. A printed or electronic ticket (via phone) is an acceptable format. Graduates have been notified of their ticket allotment via email.  Graduate ticket allotment is based on the date of Graduation Participation form completion. There are no guarantees of tickets after Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Madonna University assumes no responsibility for any unused, unclaimed or unwanted tickets or any other losses arising from graduate or guest participation in the ticket claim process. There are no refunds or exchanges.

Prohibited Items:

In order to maintain a pleasant viewing experience for all graduates and guests, Madonna University strictly prohibits any items that obstructs the view of others or cause disruptions from being brought into any Madonna University Commencement Ceremony. These include, but are not limited to, the following items:

  • Alcoholic Beverages
  • Apparel or Signage displaying profane or abusive language
  • Aerial devices of any kind (including drones and holding cameras)
  • Balloons (these can be left vehicle for use after ceremony)
  • Banners or posters of any kind
  • Containers of any kind with the exception of those related to childcare (including glass, coolers, thermoses, flasks, etc.)
  • Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia (including marijuana)
  • Flags and/or flagpoles
  • Fireworks, lasers and/or noisemakers of any kind
  • Pets except for service animals for persons with a disability
  • Projectiles (including footballs, Frisbees, and beach balls)
  • Smoking, chewing tobacco, and vaping
  • Weapons

Failure to abide by this policy may result in the removal of the above-listed items. Repeated and/or egregious violations of this policy may result in the violator being removed from the ceremony.

Decorum:

Commencement is a formal academic ceremony. As such, Madonna University expects that all graduates and their guests behave in a manner consistent with our institutional values at all times. Engaging in behavior that is disruptive, dangerous, or disrespectful or failing to follow the directive of a Madonna University official is strictly prohibited and may be grounds for removal. Graduates and their guests should plan on remaining at the ceremony until it has concluded. Guests should remain seated during the ceremony and are not permitted to stand in the aisleways or otherwise obstruct the view of other guests. Graduation Foto will be onsite to take professional photos of graduates crossing the stage.

If you or your guests feel uncomfortable attending this event, please join us virtually. Our Commencement will be livestreamed on our website. Graduates and guests will be able to enter the venue 60 minutes before the start of the ceremony; no earlier. 

There will be no charge for parking this year. Parking information will be sent to graduates participating in the event prior to their ceremony date. While our intent is to hold this ceremony, if circumstances arise that lead to a delay, postponement, or cancellation, we will promptly inform you about any adjustments.
